Who we work with

Secondary schools bringing a class for a week. University departments — history, geography, international relations, viticulture, architecture, theology — running a field course. Study-abroad and gap-year programmes. Youth and cultural-exchange groups. Groups are usually 12 to 40 students with accompanying staff; smaller seminars and larger cohorts split across parallel programmes both work.

What a programme includes

Lectures and site visits led by academics and practitioners: a winemaker on qvevri fermentation, a geologist in the Kazbegi valley, a historian at the Stalin Museum in Gori, an architect in Tbilisi's old town. Meetings with local peers where the school or university wants them. Practical workshops — bread, cheese, wine, calligraphy. Accommodation chosen for safety and supervision: one hotel or guesthouse per stop, rooms grouped, staff rooms alongside. Vehicles with seat belts, licensed drivers and a Traverse coordinator with the group throughout.

Safety and paperwork

Every educational tour comes with a written risk assessment for each day, insurance documents, guide certifications and emergency procedures, ready for a school's approval process. We provide a 24-hour trip phone, a coordinator who speaks the group's language, and a doctor on call in Tbilisi. Dietary, medical and accessibility needs are collected in advance and confirmed with every venue.

Sample programmes

Five days in Tbilisi and the wine country for a school group: history, food culture and a service-learning afternoon. Seven days across the Caucasus for a university field course: Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Kakheti, with lectures at each stop and an evening seminar. Custom programmes for language, religious studies or environmental science.

Prices

Educational tours are priced per student with accompanying staff free at agreed ratios; the "from" figure assumes a group of 20. Payment by institutional invoice after confirmation, with a deposit schedule that follows the school's own timelines.
