Greece for Georgian Travellers: Visa, Season & Costs Explained

By Traverse Team · Jun 18, 2026

A Greek island ferry approaching a whitewashed port

Greece is the classic summer escape from Georgia — here's what to sort before you go.

Do you need a visa? No Here's the good news: Georgia has visa-free access to the Schengen area, so with a biometric passport you travel to Greece with no visa at all — up to 90 days in any 180-day period. From late 2026 you'll need a quick ETIAS online registration (about €20, valid three years, done in minutes); it isn't a visa. Keep your passport valid for at least three months past your return date, and carry proof of accommodation and a return ticket — exactly what we provide when you book one of our Greece tours.

Best time to go June and September are the sweet spot — hot sea, long days, and prices well below the August peak.

Rough budget Our packages like the Crete escape bundle hotels, transfers and excursions; flights are quoted separately so you always get the best current fare. Ask us for an all-in price for your dates.
